Dr. Callie Kuntz

DVM/Owner

Dr. Kuntz was raised in San Antonio, Texas where she grew up close to animals and wanting to be a veterinarian from a young age especially to work with horses. After high school, she went on to Colorado State University to complete her undergraduate degrees in Animal Science and Equine Science in 2012. This is where she found her passion for Food Animal Medicine especially with cattle and went on to veterinary school at Colorado State University. She graduated in 2017, and completed her first year of practice in McCook, Nebraska. She continued to learn and apply her knowledge from school at a busy 50/50 large animal and small animal clinic and found her ultimate passion in mixed animal practice. After a year, her and her husband longed for being closer to family and friends and moved back close to his hometown in Yuma, Colorado. She started working for Dr. Tom Parks in August of 2018, and finally in July 2019, Dr. Kuntz purchased Dr. Parks’ practice of 43 years and started a new journey as a business owner and veterinarian. She is passionate about the medical care of your animal no matter whether it is your best friend or prized livestock. In her off time, Dr. Kuntz enjoys spending time with her Husband, Guy, and young son T.J. as well as her animals Nacho the tailless wonder cat, Buttercup the corgi, Cami the goofy lab, Leroy and Toby the brother cats, and finally, the foster fail, Sunny-bunny the kitty. She looks forward to meeting you and thanks you for your trust in her to care for your animals’ medical needs. Give us a call today to schedule an appointment at (970) 848-3801.
